What to feed a baby squirrel?

we had a small hurricane and I found my cat sniffing a baby squirel. his two back legs are broken, and I have him in a box in a warm, quiet dark place right now. I'm hoping my family and i can keep him.


BUT WHAT DO I FEED HIM IN THE MEAN TIME?/


ALSO- Is his spine broken do u think? he is about 5 weeks old and cant walk yet but he can crawl but please help.

Please leave the squirrel alone. They can carry rabies, and trust me, you don't want those shots. My husband was bitten by a wild kitten, and had to have the entire rabies treatments.

As for his broken bones you need to get a vet asap, and make sure it doesn't move that much bc the broken bones will lacerate any blood flow to his body. If his legs are swollen and pink that's a good sign. But PLEASE get him to an exotic vet or animal shelter immediately. And kudos on being a compassionate person! Most people would ignore it =(
